Still is an artist book that delves into autobiographical encounters and examines the effect of fiction in negotiating them. Through the lens of autoethnography, it attempts to pursue an intimate language within narratological correlations that incorporate text, drawing, and photography.
For the book launch event at Sic. Contemporary Culture, Nicosia, Diego Armando Aparicio, Loukia Pieridou and Damien Touche narrated simultaneously the publication’s three essays on loop for one hour in the public square behind Sic. The readings were followed by a discussion between Leontios Toumpouris and curator Evagoras Vanezis touching upon writing, memory and stories not as fixed records of what has been, but shifting constructions shaped by desire, intuition, and place.
