Hand gestures that Toumpouris employed in his recent practice through making are registered on the ceramic and the leather pieces suggesting a choreography under development; a vocabulary of indexicality, compressed, cropped, flattened and distorted.

SOM* is indicative of Toumpouris’ interest in various aspects of language and making as a method to explore, identify and share potentials and tendencies in intuitively choreographed instances of body and matter correlations.
