A moment in remembering matter

2016
Wet, dry, bisque fired and high fired Stoneware and Earthenware clay, mild steel, bright steel, plaster, glass, dimensions variable

Departing from painting, A moment in remembering matter consists of a site-responsive installation where clay goes through different stages of production in a non-linear manner to create a cryptic narrative. Chunks of clay, steel tubes and rods, glass and one plaster piece are arranged in the space to suggest a production process. Mechanical and hands-on procedures, symbols and tool-like objects merge to compose a semi-visible laboratory of manipulating matter and indicate material faith. Already realised tasks and potential procedures are suggesting a space where past, present and future converge.
